Looks like there was a mistake and was given the perks instead even though he was admin.
Its been fixed now and you should have your perms. As you didn't have them earlier they will last until 13/04 (next month).
Confirm you can see it using VIP manager:

No. Making a support thread is preferred for everything that doesn't have sensitive information.
