[HELP] Connecting Loop Discord - DJC - 05-02-2018

Hey guys ,
I have been asking some of some invex members on how I can fix this. I open discord and the discord logo keeps on spinning and keeps saying connecting... any suggestions why and how I can fix this?

I'm guessing it means you can't connect to the discord servers because of your internet.

Must be something with your connection.

(Just from experiences with it, that I'm giving this as an option on why it may be broken.)

restart router

RE: [HELP] Connecting Loop Discord - Beax - 05-02-2018

I have had the same problem DJC and this is how I fixed it

Method 1:
1. Turn off discord through task manager (will not work if not done)
2. Open command prompt as admin
3. type ipconfig /flushdns into it
4. Restart discord.

Method 2:
1. Quit discord through task manager
2. Open Control Panel.
3. Click network and internet.
4. Click internet options.
5 Go to the connections tab.
6. Down at the bottom click LAN settings.
7. Underneath proxy server, there is a checkbox saying "Use a proxy server for your..." uncheck the box if it is checked.
8. Restart Discord

Hope this sorted out the problem

RE: [HELP] Connecting Loop Discord - Heller. - 05-02-2018

Yeah I had this problem too recently.

Basically whenever I tried to open Discord, the app would try to install and update and then 'restart'. When the app tried to open again, the same thing would occur, making an update loop.

THE FIRST THING WHICH YOU SHOULD TRY is to stop the Discord client from running. You can do this through Task Manager. In the advance section the app will still be running in some instances.
If that doesn't work, you can try to delete the app and then re-download it from the Discord website. These two steps worked for me and Discord now works absolutely fine.

Good Luck

DJC

Try doing a scan with Malwarebytes and clear threats.

Make sure that your firewall is allowing discord.exe to connect to you

If it fails then just reinstall.
