Player skin Hitboxes - SirPingu - 07-01-2017

I've noticed while playing combat surf the player skin hitboxes are wrong. The players of the community always complain about them, a lot of them say the puss in boots skin has a very bad hitbox. @"CorbinH" was on surf_rebel_scaz_invex and feedlord (who was using the skin) was standing still and it took @"CorbinH" FOUR HITS before he could kill him. Anyway if someone can fix this please do
cheers pingu

Pretty sure hit boxes are the same but just the appearances are different

RE: Player skin Hitboxes - Masta - 07-01-2017

It's really a combination of the skin hitboxes and traveling at high speeds which causes shots to miss. E.g going up elevator on ski, you need to aim above someone to actually hit them if parallel or leaving the top boost on griver where if you want to hit someone side on you have to aim a bit ahead and you will miss if you actually aim and hit their body/player model which is really latency on your part and csgo's lag compensation.

Please correct me if i'm wrong about the lag compensation part though that seems to be the problem.

This can be cause by going fast but all hit boxes are the same just they appear diffrent in diffrent player models

Cheers Corbin

Ye, I thought all the hitboxes are the same to keep the game fair and the model just stretches out?

Squidward So all skins have the same default hitbox which is on the default t and ct skin and the models just replace that without any hitbox changes. I think the hitbox is quite a hard thing to change even if it is possible so the staff just try and implement skins that aren't completely out of proportion. Maybe some slight tweaks to the size of the model itself could improve the situation?

I don't think we're actually allowed to change most of the models given the staff aren't the original creators of the skins.
