Discord VS Teamspeak - ev0 - 16-05-2017
Both have their respective benefits but other than the cost of TS3 (which is shit all) Discord seem's
to be becoming evermore popular among players. We were wondering how many would be opposed to
swapping/joining over to Discord versus our current Teamspeak. Ill leave a poll for peoples opinons. Feel
free to leave any reasons for or against this change. We're looking for the communitys feedback.
Pro's of Discord:
- Has API's / Bots that we can make use of for future projects. ( Welcome messages, Server List's, etc)
- Extremely popular platform, Many players use it over teamspeak( mainly due to free)
- Media support, allows sharing of files/photos,youtube links etc. easily.
- Free$$
- More Secure. (IP etc.)
- You cant get spam poked (Tick)
Pro's of Teamspeak:
- Alot more control over permissions/user
- Higher voice quality.
- Channel based text chat
- Self hosted, Servers can be more stable(Discord goes down sometimes)
- User Friendly

Discord can be spammed through public chat, permissions are extremely limited and lacks user friendliness. With the amount of channels I see on the ivnex ts idk how it's gonna cope on Discord, would just become extremely messy/chaotic
Invex has always used TS there really isn't an issue with it in my opinion, no need for change.

Discord supposedly has a large delay when talking(like 1 sec).
