Rule Add - Step Definition - Will - 25-09-2017

Hi all.  Big Grin

Simple suggestion add this rule: D18: STEP - To move within a short distance; while this can't defined it needs to be within a reasonable step (rough estimate would be 120 hu)

So this will stop either the new nit pickers or rule breaking 'just nazi' cts from skewing the defintion of this in their favour and just say 'Show me a rule where it defines a step'. Most veteran players and all admins would just say 'Cant define it but needs to be within reason' and this rule reflects that quite well I think. While this isn't overly important it would make a lot of altercation finish with just '!rule d17' and make alot of non-admin players' lives a lot easier and it would be rather easy to implement.

hu = hammer units or the measurements used for csgo maps. Named after the hammer editor.

Yeah but most people dont care bout that rule unless someone has a rule specific to that instance, look at tac grenades on HnS. One of the most gray areas. Same with 1 way teles. Less obscurity is always good, especially when it is as easy as it is to do.

i just dont think you can really get any more simple than "1 step"... like, if they walk across the fucking map, kill them... and even if this was a rule there's no need to be nazi with it anyway, who tf cares if someone walks a little further than what you'd call a step?? they're not rebelling and there's absolutely no reason to kill them for it

I think it's fine, there's a line between taking a step and being completely stupid with the rule and nitpicking it and going miles further than a step. Overall the step rule isn't a major thing, even if someone exaggerates it a little bit it hardly affects the game.

That would work if all jb people were rational but some don't care and just do it to boost their kills.
