This rule was considered but not implemented in the latest rule update.
Dropping your gun before the LR has been activated and picking it back up after it's been activated it is bypassing the CONSOLE command that strips weapons from you, therefore exploiting (rule R8), so there is no need for an extra rule for this.
Its also punishable by CT bans.
