If you have VIP Particle beams work fine. The normal coloured ones do not.

sometimes the beams dont place on the floor or wall but play the sound.

Pretty sure it's when you place it on a uneven angle/in a wall but I haven't noticed it as much recently.

The most common spot that this happened for me was on undertale on the ramp up to surf however I haven't seen it recently
