Thanks for feedback Mcnessyj, i'm still looking into it.
I just realised this bug report was made on the same day demos were released on 1v1:

To record demos a player slot is taken up by a fake client.
The 1v1 plugin works with bots properly (so you can play with bots) but it might not handle the source TV bot well (as its not actually something that can play).
This looks promising.
I've made a small change in regards to this and deleted the DB.
Please retest again when more players are on (as it always works for me non-stop until a bunch of players join etc).
If its still not working, I'll try turning demos off for 1 day to see if it fixes it OR i'll add demos to the dev server to try and replicate the bug.
Fingers crossed the small change fixes it.

Byte is aware but has had other things to do. If you think its demo bot possibly remove the demo bot and go from there.
