This is how favoritism will now be handled, if a rebeller knifes a guard (but doesn't kill him/her) and is forgiven, anybody else who previously knifed a guard must be forgiven. However; if a prisoner killed a guard the warden doesn't have to forgive him as it's a different stage or rebelling.

Also not asked for but here is the official rule: "D17: Favouritism - This means that GUARDS must treat all PRISONERS equally during the round, including equal punishment for not following orders, the same answer given to two or more prisoners asking for forgiveness after doing the same type of rebelling, and ensuring that no PRISONER is rewarded without completing an active objective that other PRISONERS have."
