These are very general basic rules as surf doesn't need many rules to work well.
Admins can of course make their own judgements as if you are delaying or not but they should not be making up rules that don't exist on this page.

The "No delaying rounds by hiding from other players or refusing to surf" is pretty self-explanatory.
It actually has nothing to do with being afk. If you're afk you'll be automatically swapped to spectator by a plugin.
If you are afk and are the last person alive etc an admin will slay you so the round is not delayed further.
Obviously admins are not going to be slaying every person in sight when they go afk mid round as they might only afk for a short while etc.

Anyway, a new surf MOTD has been requested multiple times by Combat Surf admins and will probably be added shortly.

Ok, just one question.
I was trying to fix my ping really quickly and was not purposely trying to delay the round, I had a teammate alive as well, would you consider that to be delaying or not?

I'm not a surfer but isn't it self explanatory that you shouldn't be afk anyway? I mean its all good if you have to do something which takes less then 20 sec at the start of the round but after that aren't you like considered delaying cause you not actively trying to 'hunt' others.

Exactly right.

And i started to lag real bad, so i went down to the teleporters and went into one of the 2 secret rooms at the bottom (the ones where you need to crouch to get into). I had a teammate alive, but i still got a slay for delaying.
Now lets be honest. Admins only apply rules to benefit themselves.
I often see admins going afk for a small amount of time during a round to fix their ping or do something quickly, and then return.
And when someone says "the admins delaying!" they will tell you "no, im not the last one alive". But if a member of the community does the exact same thing, they get a slay?
At first i thought, omg why did i get a slay, but i realised what i did was breaking the rules.
The rule states "No delaying rounds by hiding from other players or refusing to surf".
This rule does NOT state that if you have a teammate alive it is fine to go afk.
BUT this is not the only fake rule, the most popular rule which is actually made up is the rule of Telecamp before 3 seconds.
Everyone can relate to this rule as it appears so many times a day, this is a fake rule.
Many members think this is an actual rule because admins just leave it and say yeah sure its a rule now i guess.

So the next time an admin encourages a fake rule, its going on the forums. I wouldnt be so cut if this didnt happen so often...

!EDIT: I dont think some of you understand... L4G4LOT did the right thing in slaying me, but my point is that some admins are only using the rules to benefit themselves! Some are making up fake rules as stated in this thread.
I guess the rules that admins made are very bRULEtal.

Very big +1 with this whole topic, rules need to be way more specified and they grey areas need to be discussed. I absolutely agree with you that admins only do it to benefit themselves, "I was walking away" -Masta

you're actually so fucking retarded mate.
First things first, this thread is not targeted to any specific admin, do you want me to make a fuckin complaint about every single admin?
Second, in the thread if you fuckin read it properly, I wrote "So the next time an admin encourages a fake rule, it's going on the forums."

Please read the thread properly before you talk shit. Smh.
