Needing suggestions on a ryzen thread ripper build - Blurry - 03-04-2018
Hey guys needing some suggestions on a Ryzen thread ripper build That I am considering to do. just wanting some suggestions on parts and any recommendations for custom water cooling. At the moment these are the parts I’m looking at the moment let me know what you think still need a cool case and water cooling ect.
Budget is about 3550 USD
(PRICES ARE ALL IN US DOLLARS)
Threadripper 1950x CPU - $1000
ASUS X399 Zenith Extreme - $500
32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum with
NVIDIA 1080Ti FE - $1400
Not sure what case - $280
Not sure what water cooling - $300
OCZ 512 NVME SSD - $250
Samsung 960 NVME SSD - $250
Toshiba 3TB HDD - $80

4K editing for clients and creating movies as well graphics would it be idling most of the time then?

I think the cpu might be over the top and you could probably save money if got something slightly cheaper. should bench mark it with other cpus and see whether there just as good.

There is no way new egg will be cheaper after shipping + tax to Aus or NZ unless they have a good deal on a specific item.
I almost guarantee MSY/PC Case Gear is cheaper.

yea shipping from US gets crazy expensive, and parts aren’t even that cheap. I’d avoid if possible.
all of my parts were from CPL or PC case gear. MSY is meh, pretty limited parts (might depend on where you are)
