Unread Posts Icon - Madcosbad - 08-11-2019
An icon next to each sub-forum which for example glows red if there are unread posts, or grey if all posts have been read. Also pressing the icon may just automatically read all the posts if you are not interested in the posts in the thread and just have ocd. Instead of having to either look at the dates, go through each one or just ignore them.

So MyBB supports this out the box but we replaced the black dots with forum icons.
We could add something next to each forum section to indicate unread posts.
Not sure what though, maybe a little 'NEW' icon?

Maybe do a community drawing contest? Winners doodles replace the current grey folders next to forum posts.

could obviously add greyscale version of the current icons but then you lose the aesthetic of the coloured icons if you have 0 unread.
Working out where the 'new' could go would be niggly, potentially on the end of the subforum title pictured below, similar to how we have the number of reports. obviously this needs to be session driven.
