Votekick, Voteswap and Voteban - Prescotti - 17-03-2016
Hey Team Prescotti here.
After posting my thread on the official Jailbreak forums regarding some changes I think should be implemented throughout jailbreak the Votekick, Voteswap and Voteban discussion seemed to get a lot of attention.
I do realise admins are afraid that it will get abused, but the solution is to give it to VIP/Members only. Staff members have a lives.. so we have to understand they will not be on the server all the time which is completely understandable. But when it comes to playing without staff on the server it can be hell.
Votekick
Player is kicked from the server, free to rejoin at anytime.
Reasons to votekick - Disruptive behaviour, Advertising websites, Breaking rules, Offensive langauge/account name
Voteban
Player is banned for 30 minutes from the server, staff members asap so they can take further action if needed.
Reasons to voteban - Continuous freekilling, Mass freekilling, Hacking/Cheating.
Voteswap
Swapped from CT, not allowed to join until next map.
Reasons to voteswap - No microphone, Refusing to warden, Freekilling
Votemute
Player is muted for 3 rounds.
Reasons to mute - Microphone spam, Bad microphone

its just too easily abused. thats all i can say. it's far too easy to rally a few people and mute someone just cause you dont like them. idk globals / admins / staff / others what do you think?

Yeah I kinda agree with it being abused, but something like a voteswap could be helpful, same with mute but mute could end up being abused too easily.

More people joining and becoming member means more people that can abuse it, but I guess they only get member if they're trusted enough to get it, so it's whatever I guess.

Voteswap is the only one I'd be okay with. The others are too damaging when abused.

Yeah, i feel members would abuse it. But as Vinyl said the voteswap would be quiet useful.

Tbh would be abused so much, there are like 100 members,even without the ones who play JB there would still be like 50members, even if ... Let's say 5 members where on they could easily vote ban/kick someone because they don't like them or their nazi, or they wanted a special day, etc.
If more admins wouldn't be a problem.

There isn't even a server group for members. Or if there is they don't have any different perms and no option for a name tag as far as I'm aware.
As for the actual idea of the vote commands for regular players, I'm just gonna succumb to the elevator effect and say that it'll be abused. I feel like it's a good idea, but everyone will gang up on one warden they don't like and swap them over.

I feel like it this is a little bit like saying "pay $5 and you get perms no-one else gets!" Feels really weird to me. And perms and skins are completely different, as VIPs actually having access to commands shouldn't be allowed. Only Vets/Administrators/G-Admins should have access to these types of commands.
In the end, this is all up to Staff. All we can do is input our opinions and hope something happens ^_^
