AgonyzZ 1v1 Map - agonyzz - 22-05-2016

Hey everyone,

I have started working on a 1v1 map (Just for fun...) and wanted some opinions, thoughts, constructive criticism, etc etc.

As you can see, it is only built in Google Sketch Up for the moment, so I haven't bothered texturing, or making anything perfect. But I am mainly looking for thoughts on the layout.

Should I add some obstacles in the middle of the map? (Remember, this is just one side, the other side will be the exact same)
Should I add a vent of some kind?

I'm really not sure.

If you're going to use sketch just go straight to hammer. You can do the basic layout there too while previewing materials.

Yeah I was going to but I'm still very new to hammer, as in downloaded 2 hours ago new... Blush

So I just wanted to make sure it would be worth my time before I go dedicating myself to using a program I have never used before.

From my experience some things to consider are.

Same angles to peek rather than sided or odd shaped like am_bunana(aidsmap)
I would stick to just normal walls(nuke) and Boxes, Those little cubby hole things are just annoying
Make it dynamic. So the spawns are up high and then have a low section in the middle with some boxes etc.

It also might pay to load another aim map that uses the 1v1 plugin to see how the multiple arenas work and spawn points etc.

Looks pretty nice so far. You should make the sides ramped up like the dust map and then put an object(s) in the middle.
