Auto Bunny Hopping at High Speeds

Introduction:

If you have been playing for a while you might of noticed the loss in speed when trying to auto-bhop at very high speeds. You might of also heard the phrase "just be smooth". There is a reason why you start to lose speed when strafing at high speeds, though this affect can be negated with the techniques suggest in this thread.

The Mechanics Of Strafing:

Below is a video which describes air strafing in CS:GO well. I'm sure you already know the basics but this video will go in depth into air acceleration and strafe jumping which are intermediate topics.

Air Strafing To Keep And Gain Speed:

Have you ever wondered why turn binds are so effective? This is because the speed at which the turn binds automatically moves your cross hair across the screen, is the perfect speed to increase and keep speed when auto-bhopping. This means that when you are manually controlling the strafing it is best to aim at the speed of turn binds to be "smother" and lose less speed when above 1000 units per seconds.

Turn Binds To Keep And Gain Speed:

We have already discussed manually controlling air strafing, and the speed at which you should aim. But nobody is perfect and keeping the correct speed when manually strafing is extremely difficult so turn binds in my opinion is a better option when available. It is the better option because it is the best way to increase and maintain speed. To set up a turn bind simply put this command in console:
bind [key] "+left"
Remember that you still have to press d (if using wasd) to strafe it's not totally automatic.
Using turn binds to their full advantage is quite advanced and is rarely seen in combat surf, I think that "Sacci" is one of the best to watch because of his mastery of these binds.

Using Boosters To Gain Speed:

Boosters is an extremely common way for people to increase their speed, and chaining boosters with turn binds to increase speed is also very common. Hitting a booster every 20 seconds or so can maintain your speed without having to think of being smooth when strafing. Some of the best surfers will chain different boosts many times a round to stay at a very high speed and doge all incoming bullets.

Conclusion:

Thank you for reading and I hope that this thread wasn't too confusing. Any questions or queries either personal message me or leave a reply!
