Forum Administrator - jynxx - 21-06-2016

Since there are only a few global admins/staff they aren't always online. And on the forums the shoutbox can get a bit "toxic". I think it would be a good idea to have a role such as forum administrator

Abilities:
Delete Messages from shoutbox
Give Forum Warning
Banning accounts


I think they shouldn't have the ability to close thread due to globals/staff deciding what happens.

I thought of this idea because lately lots of people have been toxic in the shoutbox and it has just been normal admins telling them to stop. The problem is they dont care because we can't do anything about it

-1, to much power that will be abused, ect you will be biased to sto (BANNED) and not warn you friends. Maybe give this to the respectable admins if added. Vinyl Riggsy (BANNED) Ownaj

I only made an abuse report about sto (BANNED) cause he abuses and you think thats biased.
No you clearly have a grudge against sto (BANNED) and for the littlest things you would remove/warn

Hey DESTINY (BANNED) and jynxx let's keep this area for replies about the actual suggestion and not a fight about sto (BANNED).
+1 I think the idea is great and it would give the staff and or global admins a bit of a break.

Riggsy and i were talking about it. I dont think we should have the power to give forum warnings and bans. But deleting shoutbox messages and maybe having an ability to stop people commenting on the shoutbox. It sometimes gets way too toxic and globals / staff are busy with other stuff

Yeah sounds reasonable Ownaj seems more practical.

Like DESTINY (BANNED) said this could be abused. But I think having some admins to be able to monitor the shoutbox etc like Ownaj said would be good Big Grin

Hey, I already mentioned this too byte and this was his reply!
Byte : " Only globals, staff have forum privileges. Admins have some privileges in the server related to their admin. Like a jailbreak admin can do some admin stuff within the Jailbreak section. Individual forum positions would probably not lead to anything tbh. We tried it in the past (kind of) with a 'forum head' role which basically didn't mean much. "

Personally I think it's an idea to think about as it would be cool for those people that are on the forums more too patrol the sections.
