It's basically an NVIDIA based screen recorder that records a few seconds behind. Hence the word "shadow".

Pretty much it is a piece of Nividia software (need a Nividia GPU to use it) that is always recording so that when something you want to upload happens you hit a little key and it saves to your computer the last 5-20 minutes.
