Remove Bomb Objective from Surf - Byte - 03-07-2015
Okay so there are some maps on surf which have the bomb objective added into them (Japan, Dust 2 overcore) etc.
Now while some people enjoy planting the bomb, others dont.
Sometimes the bomb is planted and defused within 20 seconds and the round is over when people still want to play and fight.
Othertimes it is planted and it becomes impossible to defuse the damn thing simply leading to CTs going to the bomb to simply die.
I propose we disable the bomb objective entirely on all maps.
Then what happens to the bomb?
Lets make it more interesting.
Lets make the bomb (that 1 T gets each round) a suicide package.
The idea is that the T can approach some players (and be close to them) then press G (drop button) to drop the bomb.
After they do this, they die and everybody in a small radius around them also die.
If you are slightly further, you may not die but will take some damage.
The suicide bomber always dies.
FYI I already have this plugin written (wrote it for a jailbreak server for a couple of US mates).
Anyway, would this be a good plugin to add?
I think it would be much more fun than the regular bomb objective (unless if you hate Dirty Bomb martyrdom :p).

I reckon it'd be better than having the round over in the first 20 seconds of a round LOL.

It'd be pretty cool, but people wouldn't use it unless they got something out of it. I'm all for it, but most especially if you can register players that are killed by the bomb to count toward the kills of whoever dropped the bomb.

Not sure if its possible but I can try to make gameME pick up the 'deaths' as kills for the player who dropped the bomb.

That'd work just as well, yeah.

This feature is now active and we are play testing it on surf.
It works as follows:
- 1 T gets bomb each round
- That T glows red
- The T can drop the bomb if they want and another player can pick it up
- The T can suicide (kill themselves) or die normally, after which they explode!
- People in a short radius will die in explosion, players slighter further away take some damage instead.

Based on some feedback i've gotten, there are some complaints and my proposed solutions:
Some games take too long, especially Japan
- Option: readd bomb objective (which defeats the purpose of the test)
- Make CT win rounds by default (no more round draw, people on surf don't really care about round wins anyway)
If I knife the suicide bomber and die, I shouldn't die
- Make it so that suicide bomber has to purposely suicide in order to kill other players (hard code a bind for suicide for bomb holder)
- If suicide bomber dies normally, there is no explosion and bomb is dropped and can be picked up by another player.
Only when the suicide bomber suicides themselves, the bomb is 'consumed' and an explosion occurs.
Update will be on surf soon.

Ok for Japan. ..CT win auto but keep the plugin with other maps it's fine
