PC Upgrade - zerq - 14-11-2016 So, as Christmas is coming up I am planning to upgrade my graphics card. I have a budget of around $300 and would preferably like a nvidia card, I’m currently thinking a gtx 1060 but I am open to all input. I’m also not sure if I need to upgrade any other parts so it can be used. Keep in mind I built this at the end of 2014 as a budget gaming computer. Here are my current pc specs: CPU : AMD A10 7850K @ 3.8GHz RAM : 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport Motherboard : MSI A78M-E35 GPU : Gigabyte Geforce GTX 750 PSU : 430W Corsair CX430 I am practically clueless when it comes to this so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, - zerq RE: PC Upgrade - n8 - 14-11-2016 Vinyl RE: PC Upgrade - Crona - 14-11-2016 zerq you currently cant over clock your system by buying a 1060 you would need a power supply of 600w-700w and mother board that can be overclocked RE: PC Upgrade - Ownaj - 14-11-2016 Gtx 1060 Is pretty perfect for that price range. If you want cheaper grab a 1050 ti RE: PC Upgrade - confusiion - 14-11-2016 Nice MotherBoard RE: PC Upgrade - brandonn - 14-11-2016 arnt these the specs you wanted Tick? RE: PC Upgrade - Mourning Wood - 15-11-2016 I agree with Ownaj, a 1050 ti is pretty good for its price. RE: PC Upgrade - Soona - 15-11-2016 I'd get a 1060 roughly double the performance for ~$75 more in Australia. Cheapest 1060 I found was $290 cheapest 1050ti I found was $215. http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=gtx+1050ti&spos=1 http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=gtx+1060&spos=1 http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti/3639vs3649 RE: PC Upgrade - Vinyl - 15-11-2016 If you go for a 1060 you wouldn't need to upgrade anything. Just might have a bit of issues with bottlenecking since your CPU is based on an architecture that's a few years old but tbh I don't have a clue lol RE: PC Upgrade - ev0 - 15-11-2016 Things to point out and take note of. As Crona said your MB has little to no Overclockability for later upgrades down the track Your PSU is also a little on the light side but given that the new NVidia cards are good on power. Your best bet for opinions and profesional options would be to post it on the /r/buildapc on reddit. Just put what you have and what you want, where your from and they will tell you what's best for your system. |
