I got perma banned literately 5 minutes ago because, the connection was really shitty and everyone was lagging so bad, so I made a comment about how an opposition surf server had a better connection. I was banned on the spot by Remy who gave me no warning about my ban. Clearly this is a demonstration of admin abuse or I must be crazy.[/b][/b]

No one was lagging except for you + promoting other servers is forbidden.
Ev0 actually banned you because I typed the wrong name. I will let the other admins also present at the time, Censor, ev0 and Mclovin/Tick (I forget which), chime in and comment on this

So is that an accepted request? and how should I know that it was a rule at the time, there's no quick link that pops up in the chat for the rules. Im not just going to check the forums for every server I go on for a rule book.
Also just checked your forum rules for the server and nowhere does it state that you cant promote another server

The server displays the rules on join. Its the very first thing you see when you join the server.

Then why did I get a perma ban? Where does it clearly state that if I happen to quote another server then I will be permanently banned without any sort of warning?

These are server rules. Failure to comply with them results in punishment. This varies from mute/slays/kicks/bans based on what has happened and is at the discretion of the banning admin/staff.
You clearly don't regret what you have done. Change your tone and re-apply for an unban and I will take it into consideration.
