Would be nicer if I didn't have to click 'View Alerts' to make the number go back to zero. The popup box and 'View Alerts' pretty much show the exact same thing. I'm all about making life as easy as possible

it'd be nice to be able to just click alerts at the top and have the counter go to 0 although like Byte says for a lot of these suggestions, he probably doesn't want to mess with the original MyBB code

n8 It's not quite the same as just viewing them. Plus after clicking that you have to click another prompt, such work!!!

Yeah so the plugin is from another dev and we just use it without any modifications.
I like to avoid modifications because it means I have to remake them/maintain it as new updates come in for the plugin.
Personally I don't see it as a huge issue.
The popup shows upto 5 recent alerts.
View alerts shows all of them.
Delete alerts deletes all of them.
Clicking on an alert link or deleting all alerts should decrease the counter.
Surely thats not too hard.
