Alert - DJC - 20-11-2017
I just looked on the fourms and I saw I got notifications so I clicked them and then I reload by mistake and now it’s giving me old notifications. I can’t tell as I posted a comment nominating a scuba dive character and it was already shortlisted and so PoosKi told me and notified me but now not up

It's probably because you're on a phone, mybb doesn't really support phones that well so that could be the reason.
I can confirm that I did tag him but not sure if it's a bug or not.

No it’s not because he’s using a phone I’ve been using a phone to looks on forums for a long time and never have this bug.
Probably a one off but keep an eye on it.

I've also been using mobile to go on forums and this has never occurred for me, like Andi said it's probably just a one time bug

Sorry just checking, what do you mean old notifications?
You know alerts don't disappear until you delete them right?
The alert window that pops up only shows 5 alerts, if you have more than that it won't show them so delete your alerts regularly.
Is this your problem?

No I have recently opened invex fourms and checked my alerts and the 5 recent alerts were not there as I never delete them. Byte

Did the alert icon show a '1'?
What happened when you clicked on it?
As far I know (and just tested) all alert functionality is working fine and the alert system hasn't been modified recently.
Have you checked your alert settings:
