EDIT: Vinyl suggested that freedays should just not count towards special days so that they're not used so quick, and a freeday is it's own seperate day. I want to make this the new topic of the thread, as it was pretty obvious I was implying about freedays being the main cause of this problem anyway. If you would like to read the OP, keep on reading.

Any Special Days within the first 3 rounds shouldn't count.

I believe this should be implemented in Jailbreak, because the first few rounds, where everyone wants to be a prisoner and the CT:T ratio (1:3) is unbalanced, the Warden knows that the CTs can be easily rebelled against and instantly calls for a freeday. Everyone jumps out of cells and starts knifing all the Guards and the Warden and the round is easily won.

Then there may be a moment later in the game, where the Warden is sick of just commanding the prisoners around, and wishes to call for a special day of their choice (Hide and Seek, Hunger Games, Freeday etc.), and then an admin stops them and says the person can't, because the limit of two special days was used earlier.

3 solutions to this problem would be:
  • Make the first couple of rounds with Special Days not count as Special Days (if the ratio is unbalanced)
  • Have admins balance the ratio and then restart the map score (Grom told me there's no command, but I think it should be easy to code a command similar to "mp_restartgame 1" or just give admins permission to use that command in console)
  • Have each Warden only have 1 special day each instead of 2 per map across all Wardens.

I don't know if any of this can be implemented (it is just a suggestion after all).
Anyone with any status can comment their opinion on here for everyone to see and expand on the idea.

I personally would think freedays shouldn't count towards the special day count, they happen so often anyway I don't see the point of them counting.

This should kind of help against the problem you're talking about.

I reckon that's probably a better solution than everything I put there, but I don't want to feel responsible for changing a rule that's probably been there since the beginning of the jailbreak part of Invex. But if G-Admins and Staff talked about the rule-change I guess it could happen.

Yah, i agree with vinyl,

Just saying, "mp_restartgame" is a cvar command, im pretty sure admins nor g-admins has cvar perms, unless there was a way to do via sm?

When I was talking to Grom today I asked him if there was an sm command to restart the map score or game, and he said no. And I forgot that mp_restartgame could only be used by server operator, was just saying there must be a similar one in sm.

As it is I think how long maps last at the moment is fine. And I dont think free days counted as special days in the first place. My bad after rereading the rules yet again yeah freeday is a special day apparently but yeah it probably shouldnt be.

Why not just add another command to the !WT called Free day that is limited to 3 times a map. ? that way the only other times it can happen is if the Warden dies and another guard fails to take over within the 30 second time allocation ?

Sounds good to me. Tbh we havent really been counting freeday as a special day but i'll monitor it properly from now. I also agree that first couple of rounds should not count. If no one else has any objections ill add it into the rules. Freedays that come from not opening cells or not giving orders before cells are opened wont be counted however.

It'd be nice to have a logger within the !wt panel for Wardens to list freedays and other special days.
