Hey you! Yeah you!!
So you wanna get that Pro Rebeller/Pro Warden badge for your amazing skills but ya got none?
Looks like you've came to the right place! In this tutorial, we'll be learning how to use your weapons to your advantage, and how to be a good guard/prisoner!
Guard
Ahh.. So you wanna enforce the rules eh? Let me help you out....
Tactical Grenade
First of all... Wtf is this thing??
Think of the Tactical Grenade as a Sticky Grenade, it sticks to the surface you throw it on. When stuck, it will tick for 3 seconds, then explode. Any enemy caught in it's blast radius (blast goes through walls) will be given a red outline for three seconds, you can also see the outline of enemies through walls too, basically you get wall hacks for three seconds, but for a limited amount of distance.
Cool! So what does this mean in Jailbreak?
Tactical Grenade's are given randomly to any CT, anyone has an equal chance of getting one (except VIP's they are 66% more likely to get one, get VIP today!!! #Promotion). So you know them annoying prisoners that just sit there hiding in their cells waiting for god to magically open the cells so they can grab a gun and kill all you awesome Guards when you're least expecting it? Throw this baby in the middle of all the cells, and you can see those people hiding in cells and blow their brains right outta their head! How cool is that??
Another good use of this is when some no life silver (me) comes rushing at you with a negev and you're hiding behind a corner, throw this grenade near him/her, and you know when they're just about to come around the corner, or if they stop to contemplate life for no reason, you can get the jump on them and leave that dude in a pool of blood!!!
Warden
So you wanna be the dude that 99% of prisoners hate right?
Well here's your two options:
1. Take a step back in time to 1933 Nazi Germany, and morph into the one and only..... Adolf Hitler!
Or 2. Be somewhat of a normal warden.
Nazi
So let's get into real hatred from the prisoners. A nazi is someone who is strict as hell and will kill any prisoner if they do one thing wrong.
Example: All the prisoners are unstacked along the gun check line, button frozen, but you see some prisoner that moves a quarter of a step for no reason. Just spray him with bullets! Even if they move a tiny bit when they're suppose to be button frozen, just end them. It's a great way of eliminating prisoners at the start of the game and win it for you!
NOTE: At the start of the round, say "All guards have permission to be super nazi", then you won't be the only one that can be nazi.
A Normal Warden
So you wanna have the risk of some rebellers, but at the same time some prisoners will actually like you hmm?
First of all, you and your guards' life is most important! So get the setup right, but to this this we're going to have to use some drawing tools to help us so..... We'll learn how to be a semi-good warden right after this!
Drawing Tools
So what are drawing tools b0ss?
Drawing tools are well... Tools... That help the warden out with his journey to victory! THESE TOOLS ARE CRITICAL FOR A WARDEN. How do I get these tools? Once you are warden type in chat "!wt" (without the speech marks) and a menu will pop up on the side of your screen displaying various things, you want to click 1 on your keyboard so you go into the draw tools menu.
In here is a list of things you can do.
1. Beam Placement: Places a beam where your crosshair is pointing at.
2. Set colour: Set's a beams colour.
3. Toggle Beam Duration: Sets how long the beam is on for.
4. Laser [Toggle]: Toggles a rainbow laser that spawns on crosshair.
5. Highlight Prisoner [Toggle]: Colours a prisoner that your crosshair is on.
6. Clear Highlights: Clears colours from prisoners.
Today, we'll be focusing on Beam Placement, so to place a beam, simply put your crosshair on where you want it to spawn, press 1, and boom, your beam has now been placed.
Back to Being a Normal Warden
So, being a normal warden is simple, but it really isn't at the same time, so like I said, you need to get the setup right.
To be good at your job, you want your guards to goto the exits of the room you're in, so there's no escapes.
As shown above in the Drawing tools, place a beam at the exits of the room you're in, and tell a guard to get on it.
Now that you've done that, there's one more thing... Ass on bars! As soon as you've done stuffing around in armoury, get out there and tell to put their ass on bars! Wait but does the dude have a gun? You have two options again.
1. Tell him to empty all the bullets out of his/her gun, this wastes time.
Or 2. Tell them to drop the gun at the back of the cell, it's quick, but it still has all the bullets in it and there could be a chance that they or another prisoner could pick it back up.
Once you've done that, your prison is sorted! Say hello to that Pro Warden badge on the forums!!!
Prisoners
So you wanna win without rebelling because you're silver and you know you cant kill all the guards. That's fine! You're gonna be the REAL MVP and kill all the guards without rebelling.
First of all, the biggest thing is your ears. Wtf do my ears have to do with this you may say? You need to LISTEN, listening to the warden is the biggest thing EVER. Tell your friend to shut up for a second, and listen to the command the warden's giving. If you didn't hear him, ask for a repeat, they HAVE to give you a repeat.
So, now that we've got that covered, how I help you with some of the popular map games and custom games.
Climb - On this, take your time. When you have to strafe around a wall to the other side, take a run up, being on the edge and trying to strafe around will give you no speed, so take a run up then strafe around.
Freezebomb - This one is quite easy, just jump about 0.4 seconds after one second. Jetpack is another alternative that will get you the highest jump easily.
Jumprope - This is easy, stay in the middle of the confines of jumprope, and jump as soon as it comes around. If it's going SUPER fast be in the middle still, and as soon as it goes past you, run to the side that the jumprope is swinging, and strafe to the middle of jumprope again and repeat until it stops.
Pool Slap Game - Just strafe back into the pool quickly, don't lose your momentum.
Team Deathmatch / FFA Deathmatch (NOT SPECIAL DAY) - In Team Deathmatch stick with your team and kill one of the dudes that runs off without his team (there's always one), then you have better chances of your team winning. For FFA, wait it out a little, let the other prisoners do most of the work for you.
Now that we've gone through most of the popular games in a normal day, let's go through the special utility you get randomly!
Medi Shot
The Medi Shot is a one time use item that is given randomly to Prisoners.
When used, the Medi Shot restores 50 health points to the player who used it.
This can be extremely useful for normal Prisoners or Rebellers. How you may ask? As always, here's an example!
You suck at jumprope, but you're so close to winning it but if you get hit one more time you'll die! Use this sweet little thing and this could possible win you the game!
So you're in that 1v5 situation trying to kill all the guards so you can win for your fellow prisoners but you've been wounded! Again, use the Medi Shot, and this will help you out! (You basically have 150 HP)
Rebel
You think you got what it takes to eliminate the guards?
First you're going to need some aim practice. So it's a good thing we have an Aim Server! Go try that out (#Promotion), or try some normal CS:GO Deathmatch, that's a good way to practice.
Secondly, you need to outsmart the guards, if they haven't set up their positions correctly, it's going to be easy to rebel, when the warden says, "rush to the bottom of main cell stairs and button freeze", that's when it's time to get outta there, also strafe around so you're hard to hit.
Now this one will help you tremendously, buy Bhop. BHop will increase your speed, and will help you strafe around them bullets. Bhop to the exit of the room you're in, and go grab a gun!
Jetpack also will help dodging them bullets, two's better than one!
Special Days
Hunger Games - A special day that gives you random weapons after one minute of being spawned when Hunger Games has been initiated.
Rules: You are NOT aloud to camp armoury before random weapons have been spawned.
Team Deathmatch (TDM) - After one minute of initiation of TDM, players are allocated a colour, only 5 players will be given one colour. Example: 5 players on red, 5 players on blue, etc.
Rules: Players cannot camp armoury before the special day has actually started.
Warday - Prisoners are frozen for 30 seconds, while the guards find a spot to camp at. When prisoners are unfrozen, they grab a gun and it's Guards VS Prisoners.
Rules: Prisoners must goto the area the guards are, you cannot play map games, etc. you must actively hunt the CT's.
Zombie Day - Everyone starts off in armoury, grabbing a gun. One minute after Zombie Day has been started, two players are chosen to be a zombie, and infect the other players until everyone is infected.
Rules: Zombies must actively hunt.
Hide and Seek Day - Guards are blinded for 60 seconds, while prisoners go find a hiding spot. When guards are unblinded, they have to hunt the prisoners down and kill them.
Rules: Autobhop is not aloud. Jetpack is not aloud. Guards have to kill the hiders with knives, UNLESS the hiders are shooting the guards with guns.
Free For All (FFA) - Everyone is teleported to armoury, getting guns, grenades, etc. it's you vs the world.
Rules: You CANNOT team & you cannot camp armoury before the day actually starts.
Freeday - Prisoners can do anything they like, but guards can give out freeday rules.
Rules: There is none unless warden gives out some, example, if a prisoner is in knifing distance they're KOS.
Round Modifiers - This isn't really a special day, but is listed in the special days category. It's a normal day, but the round is modified with something special. Example: Low gravity is activated and everyone can jump really high.
Rules: Same as a normal day.
Jailbreak Terms Glossary
Ass on bars - Face the back of your cell with your back on the cell doors/cell windows, you can also do this crouching.
Favouritism - Example: If a rebeller asks to come back and his request is denied, but then later on another rebeller asks if he can come back and is accepted, that is favouritism. (Is also a slayable offence)
Slay - If someone has been slain, they have been killed because they have broken the rules or lost an LR game.
Rush - Run to a specified area without and detours or delays.
Button Freeze - Not moving. (You're allowed to look around though)
Nazi - A guard/warden that is a lot more strict.
Super Nazi - Even more stricter than a normal Nazi.
Rebel/Rebeller - A prisoner that has broken the warden's rules or has killed any of the guards/previous warden.
KOS - Kill On Sight
