Try finding a MYBB compatible browser/app.
I'm sure some exist but they may not be free on iOS/Android.
I myself just use the browser.

Mainly because there is a niche audience with this problem, to date thats the first I've heard of shoutbox not working.
Approving though due to the addition of a scroll bar for the extras tab.
