+1 i guess, even tho i have like 16 alt accounts so linking steam id isn't really going to fix too much :p

This sums it up nicely. It won't do much.

Also polls are a built in MyBB functionality and I'd rather not touch built in functionality unless absolutely necessary.

So for now, manually checking all votes is the preferred solution.
