Hey, news and announcement posts did show up on the portal.
After some digging around, I found one of our third party plugins was corrupting the dates on posts after I edited them to show up as 'Bot Invex'.
So for all those 'Bot Invex' posts, their post date would be changed to 0 meaning they weren't a recent thread and thus they wouldn't show up on the portal in the recent posts section.
Anyway, I fixed the plugin myself and the dates are no longer corrupted.
