MemeQueen, the warden tries to trick t's all the time (within the rules xd). It's how you lower the number of prisoners.
He told you to not rush to the beam and button freeze because he knew people would rush to the beam (He probably wanted to lower the numbers so he could get to LR or have even numbers for a map game).
Also, it's kind of like that one time on Obama when a warden told the t's to unstack on the multi-coloured line, (most people thought it was the gun check line because it can change colours) but actually that warden wanted them to go to the line near armoury that has writing on it saying "multi-coloured line" in rainbow text.
