Voice loopback is able to be toggled by global+ through an exec. However we could make it available to server admins. We changed the voice loopback to off by default because the mic spam was getting out of control. We could change it to default on however, then let server admins change it to off if it gets out of control. Do you think this would be a better solution?

You say its not hard to type out a line, but it gets annoying every time I come on the server there's someone mic spamming music.
thats what it was like last time and no doubt its gonna be the same this time. Your gonna get kids playing earrape, or stupid parody songs.
I dont wanna hear that shit and neither does half the server. Many people have music bots on ts3 that they listen to, you guys could easily
utilise TS3 to listen to music and talk together. IMO the server should be voice chat only. People that don't want to listen to your music shouldn't
have to mute/sm for you. If you want to listen to each others music you can do it somewhere else.

And if I SM the person playing music. What happens when they start screaming or playing inappropriate content in their mic and I can't hear them?

Possibly there could be a rule introduced to say that parody or meme songs aren't allowed only proper music that people will obviously enjoy. If this is re-enabled that it would also be a good idea to specify that if someone plays ear rape they can be instantly kicked or something like that.

The toggling of loop back by admins can work as a shaming kind of thing may be. If someone is playing ear rape he gets kicked, then voice loop back is disabled for the rest of the map.

This may be impractical but a rule that says that you can only play music if it isn't so loud others can't have a conversation.

its all good and well but people that join the server, possibly listening to their own music etc etc new to the community blah blah. They shouldnt have to deal with mic spam. Ive been told by friends and other surf players that they dont come to invex because of the mic spam that occurs between players and thats without music.

can't people use !sc or listen to their own music, we don't need to hear people mic spamming their music. There will be people who just troll and use sound effects and spam that. -neutral
