[1v1] Only allow default pistol's during awp rounds.

I think we should just be given a P2K or USP-S only during the awp round. 


If there is no pistol, you leg someone and it's basically useless. Using a P2K/USP-S should be able to stop people from rushing their opponent, as it is not very strong against armour, but at the same time allows the player to finish their opponent off if they leg them or tag them heavily through a box.

This could be a solution to AWP rounds turning into pistols rounds, but at the same time be used as a finisher to tagged opponents.

What are your thoughts on this?

Hello World Byte This really needs to be addressed, about the 5th time its come up. Tbh the pistol just needs to be removed on awp rounds, as many others would agree

We shouldn't remove pistols, someone (I can't remember who) made a really good point that you should be allowed a light pistol just incase you leg your opponent. That's why I suggest we are only allowed default T and CT pistols, as you can't just rush them with it, but you can finish off a tagged opponent with it

I sort of agree with you ev0 tho sometimes on awp rounds players rush with the awp, getting you of guard and only way to kill them is by pulling out the pistol, only default pistols should be spawned on those rounds just incase for those sticky moments

The whole point I don't want pistols is cause if you get legged. You leg someone down dust 2 mid your not gonna just run out with your pistol are you. The whole point is to win with the awp

I've added a poll to this thread where people can pick what they want to happen.
I'm fine with either of the 2 solutions proposed.

Personally I don't really mind pistols on AWP rounds, its just like the real game and peeking down mid doors on dust is a horrible example as aim maps are like 1/3rd that distance. A better example is legging someone from dust short and then trying to pistol them on A site (which happens all the time obviously).

And if you complain about legging people and having them pistol you, then don't leg them? Seems like a skill thing more than anything.

Also are people given full head armour on AWP rounds?
If not that might help with people using pistols.

Yea that's a good point, and I totally agree with it. Without pistols, the better awper will win 99% of the time, and good awper rarely ever legs them. We should just get rid of pistols as a whole in 1v1 Awp rounds.

Edit: Yes Byte you are given head armor on AWP rounds, it may be too complicated but perhaps have a choice between enabling pistols on AWP rounds? If it's not possible pistols should probably just be removed.

I definitely think that the pistol should be removed and have AWP only on those rounds. This enables the better AWPer to win.

I think we should just remove them completely.

I don't personally do AWP rounds, but community feedback has always led towards just removing it.

Also, it's probably harder to code the default pistols in if they have others selected, especially since you get to choose p2k or usp (I think)
