- The Orbital Laser marker can be equipped by pressing 4. This way, you can direct it and move it around the map.

- Pay attention to your surroundings, a single launcher grenade could help turn the tide of war.
- Save your launcher grenades for grouped enemies.

- If you can't see an enemy Health Station. Use your launcher.
- Act as a supporting class and stay near medics, your grenade spam is important.
- If you can't clear a room for your teammates, run in and suicide martyrdom everything.
- Direct grenade shots are devastating, this is why grouped enemies are important for your grenades.
- If you can't get to the enemy, toss a grenade from your launcher in their direction. This will make them back off for a moment.

- Your main objective is to arm, disarm, or fix objectives.
- Plant mines on anything and everything the enemy might walk over, such as downed players and ammo packs.
- You can shoot your mines to detonate them even when they haven't armed yet.

- Heartbeat Sensor only lasts as long as it's cooldown, so keep refreshing it when it gets off cooldown.
- Headshots instantly gib a player.
General Tips & Tricks
- Running with your knife out gives you a little bit of an advantage of speed.
- Running then Ctrl + Jump will allow you to long jump.
- When escoring an objective such as the EV. The more people that are on it, the faster it will go. This does not work anymore. EVs have a fixed speed now!
- When arming, defusing or fixing, you can move around a bit. Always keep movement going.
- Always finish off players. Medics can just run in and bring them back if they're downed.
- A melee hit on downed players result in an instant kill instead of wasting bullets.
- You can hop in the EV to use the mounted machine gun.
- Multiple people repairing do not stack.
- When revived you have a spawn shield that lasts for around 2s, but will be canceled if you use a combat/ability action.
- You do double damage with headshots.
- Always move. The whole game is about keeping movement.
- Don't stay on mounted machine guns too long. You're an easy target.
- Play the objective. You get more points instead of going around killing. If someone planted C4 to enable an area. Try to defuse or destroy it.
- You can get ammo from the ammo station by Kira even if they're on the opposite team. (Does not work with Aura's healing station).
FAQ
I'll add this to the guide even though it doesn't teach you much about the mercs but seems like a lot of people ask these questions.
Q: When do free mercs rotate?
A: Every 2 weeks.
Q: What loadout is the best?
A: Whatever you do best with. But there are specific loadouts people like to use.
Q: How do I get cases?
A: You can buy them in the store (Not recommended) or get them free from games (Randomly).
Q: What are the tiers for the loadouts?
A: Lead -> Iron -> Bronze -> Silver* -> Gold* -> Cobalt* (Obsidian is not obtainable anymore).
* Rarer bling but no additional augment strength.
Q: Is it worth it to buy cases or loadouts?
A: Don't buy cases. Buy loadouts instead.
Q: How do I join competitive?
A: You must be level 5 or higher currently.
Q: What merc should I buy?
A: It's different for everybody. Proxy and Bushwhacker are great engineers. Sawbonez is an amazing medic. Fragger and Nader are powerful attackers.
Q: What's the point of levels?
A: At level 5, you can join competitive. And you get a case each level otherwise it just shows how much you've been playing Dirty Bomb!
