Byte I can't play on the 14th because i'll be in Melbourne. Is there anyway to postpone it to the weekend after? Smile

Yeah Masta definitely. Everyone better be scared if we are on the same team!

Also I'm only able to do weekends and Fridays so if you don't want to get rekt probably vote for a weekday in the poll.

Thanks to everyone who answered the polls.
Even though 14th won, we won't be able to set everything else up on time.
As a result, comp night will be held on the Saturday 28th October.

EDIT: Hours have also been pushed back by 1 hour to help NZ players play for longer.
We'll try to set things up with minimal delays to avoid wasting time on the night.

Also as we have a lot of time now, the Team Name thread will remain open until Sunday so others have a chance to get their name in.

As we know the comp night teams has already been chosen, and it's gonna be a good time Smile

But I wanted to throw in this idea for how the teams are picked.

The Draft:

How the draft works is that the team captains (allocated before) would get to pick players 1 by 1 until all 36 of the other players have been picked. This would (normally) make it so that teams are very even.
e.g
Captains : PoosKi, Forgotten, Masta, Chappo

I pick n8 to join my team and then that is that.
Then forgotten might choose lew.
Next Masta picks brandonn
and Chappo picks Byte.
Then Chappo would get another pick and select Kaos
then it could either be a reverse order or just go back to the start for every round.

I think you can see where this is going.

Things that would need to be sorted out before this is to take place:

Captains for each team chosen.
Team names chosen.
Date for comp night chosen
All captains being on at the same time to go and do the draft.
all 36 other players who have been selected to play in the comp night entered.

Pros:

Stops Over Powered Teams (not complaining on the balancing of the teams this time around, they're all pretty even. e.g Team Vex last comp night)
Cool and unique way for the teams to be chosen.

Cons:

Wouldn't give freedom to choosing what team you are on. (Team mates/Names)

I just think this would be a fun idea to change up how the teams work, A lot of prep time would be needed to get this idea running smoothly and properly though Smile

I like the ideas you proposed PoosKi.
What do other people think, would you rather be on a specific team based on your preference or be picked for a team by captains?
