Hey InvexGaming Users and Admins.
As a consistent Jailbreak player, it's no surprise that Mic-spam is a problem in these servers that cannot be stopped without aid of active admins (who are absolute legends with cracking down on this kinda stuff). But as we all know, admins are not always active or available, simply put because most, if not all admins -including active users- have to focus on activities and/or other things outside of CS:GO. So in my own opinion, a proper rule surrounding active Mic-spam really needs to be implemented into the jailbreak servers, one that fairly judges the improper use of communications via microphone or headset and even use of sound device applications such as SLAM or HLDJ. Many sessions that standard tier players like myself or veteran players play are invaded by obnoxiously annoying use of voice chat, both on T and CT side, whether it would be -as stated previously- sound device apps, Guards shouting in mics over everyone to the point where orders are not understood, which results in unfair deaths. Sure the Priority Speaker tool exists but the real question is:
Does it really help suppress the arising problem of Micspam?
INCOMING SUGGESTION THAT MAY NOT WORK IRL:
What if there was a tool to mute comms that is readily available in warden tools that share similar properties to that of the admins mute tool? One that mutes a selected player either through a menu or as a command, but is temporary like PS?
Sure this might seem like a big project to work on that could take some time, but it is just one more step into making the servers a better, more fun experience for all players new and old.
NOTE: I probably should have separated this thread into 2 as it explains the implementation of a rule towards mic-spam along with the creation of a tool similar to what admins use but with different properties.
EDIT: Sure this seems just like giving wardens admin tools, I haven't fully explained it because it's sorta bad enough I wrote an essay about it (thank you squief for pointing it out). But it's the way that one thinks about it's potential,
