Random tips from dakotaz:

• Use your mouse buttons for better/faster build binds
  
• Look down when parachuting while holding W for faster drops.
  
• If parachuting instantly, once timer hits 1, the next tick it reached 0. So you can parachute just after it says 1 second left (not a full second after).
  
• If right over town, nose dive until it forces you to parachute
  
• If town is really far away, spam space to switch between nose dive/parachute mode constantly. You'll get extra height out of this at the cost of lost time.
  
• In Video settings, set shadows to medium (or off) and set post processing to low and turn off motion blur (99% of good players do this)
  
• Set brightness to 100% or else you won't be able to see well into caves/dark corners/during night mode
  
• Editing is free, you should edit rather than destroying/rebuilding
  
• Repairing is cheaper than full building. Repairing cost is based on materials missing % hp.
  
• When building, base/starting HP is higher for Wood, then Stone then Metal (Wood > Stone > Metal) but overall hp is higher for (Metal > Stone > Wood). So wood is best to build when you're getting shot at in an open field but metal is best to build a strong fort/base/if it has time to fully build. Base/Max HP's for vertical walls are (Wood = 100/200, Stone = 90/300, Metal = 80/400).
  
• In a fort, you can edit a wall and click on all squares to make them invisible for you but not enemies. This lets you look around clearly to see where enemies are. You can then cancel the edit.
  
• Look under stairs for the green ammo boxes, no one loots these.
  
• When building on top of players, build 2 starting starts at the bottom so if one side is destroyed you can jump on the other
  
• If you have a 'Place top X' mission, you can enter a game and then leave immediately once you get into the battle bus (before the time period where you parachute). It will always count this as a top 1 finish for missions.
  
• Don't be in a squad with n8
  
• Don't be in a game with SirPingu
