The bug in the change username feature (https://www.invexgaming.com.au/usercp.ph...changename) which allowed users to bypass the username character whitelist has been patched.
For various reasons including clarity and plugin compatibility, we do not allow the use of special characters in usernames.
The whitelist was correctly enforced during registrations but was not enforced in the change username feature.
This has now been fixed.
As a reminder, our acceptable username policy is:
Those who fail to change their username soon will have their special characters stripped from their name.
If that causes a name clash, random numbers will be appended to their name.
So change your name yourself to avoid undesired names.

- Between 2-15 characters long
- All lowercase characters allowed [a-z]
- All uppercase characters allowed [A-Z]
- All numbers allowed [0-9]
- Spaces allowed [Maximum of 1 consecutive space, cannot be at start or end of name]
- The following additional characters: _ - ! . *
- All other characters are not allowed.
