For various reasons including clarity and plugin compatibility, we do not allow the use of special characters in usernames.
The whitelist was correctly enforced during registrations but was not enforced in the change username feature.
This has now been fixed.
As a reminder, our acceptable username policy is:
Between 2-15 characters long
All lowercase characters allowed [a-z]
All uppercase characters allowed [A-Z]
All numbers allowed [0-9]
Spaces allowed [Maximum of 1 consecutive space, cannot be at start or end of name]
The following additional characters: _-! . *
All other characters are not allowed.
If you currently have a disallowed character in your forum name, you will need to change it using the change name link above.
Those who fail to change their username soon will have their special characters stripped from their name.
If that causes a name clash, random numbers will be appended to their name.
So change your name yourself to avoid undesired names.
Ok, this has been suggested a few months ago but not properly.
Surf ffa was a good server that had an alright player base, In the shutting down post it states "Quite simply, the VIP funds coming into Invex aren't enough to cover these servers anymore. From January - July this year, we were doing quite well but the second half of the year has been tough with much less donations. Some months had only 1-2 donations which were not enough to cover 1 server, let alone others server." Now every month we exceed the donation goals by hundreds. This month alone in the first day we reached $130. In this state we have enough to fund the server. Lots of people in the Invex Community started playing our servers because of FFA DM ( PhoeniXRiggsy (BANNED)kadaAtauciqPotatoLowkey ).
FFA is a unique server we had and when you put Surf FFA into gametracker for the Australia region there is no other servers, as stated by Byte, if we were to have a new server it would have to be unique and not a server that other communities have.
Surf ffa is like combat surf but more fast paced you can say. You can choose the guns you spawn with by using !guns and there is instant respawn and no rounds, this is also good for new people that want to try combat surf as they can use any gun they want and don't have to wait a round after dying. Lots of the time i hear people saying on combat surf, that they just want to not die every start of the round and get a feel of combat surf which is what Surf FFA was. Also it had different maps to Combat Surf (Now i believe Swift and air have been transferred over).
Recently after the rule has ben changed therehas been alot of confusion and 2 sides have formed, People who believe that the warden can give orders for prisoners to stay in cells as long as they have left cells by 12:00, and another where they believe the rule states that no rules for prisoners to stay in cells are allowed. This is causing mayhem some rounds when people who havnt read the rules or are unsure on the change and the get yelled at by people who then have an argument against the other sides view on the rule. I think a simple chang of the wording could solve this such as adding a few words in brackets sayng that (No orders to stay in cells may be given) or for the other side (Orders to stay in can be given as long the prisoners leave the cells). Or just change the entire wording in general.
