As Invex has grown, adapted and changed we've learnt how our economy behaves and how our donation trends change over time. Ideally, we'd hit close to 100% of our monthly goal every month which means the servers would be self-sustaining. This doesn't always happen and although some months might reach 3-4x the donation goals, other months stay close to 0. We would like a more stable and steady stream of donations to help fund servers if possible.
As a reminder, the current donation goal is carefully calculated from our operating costs.
At the time of this post, the goal is $196 per month.
This is roughly the breakdown:
CSGO/Web server box ($184 pm)
invexgaming.com domain ($1.83 pm)
invexgaming.com.au ($2.01 pm)
invex.gg domain ($8.42 pm)
The current costs do not include:
server1.invex.gg (old web server) which will shortly be retired once contract expires ($20 pm)
gameME services (currently not used)
Changes that are being considered:
Package 5 and Package 6 are going to be retired. We will no longer offer Permanent VIP in the future. This will likely never return. It may still be offered as a prize in very rare cases etc. Until this change is made the $200 perm VIP upgrade is still in place. For people that already have these packages, your perms will remain. In particular, people with package 6 will continue to receive VIP on any server we release, forever so don't worry.
New longer term packages will arrive that offer 6 months or 1 year of VIP for less than the monthly cost. They may include an unlocked store for the duration of the VIP package.
Prices will be reviewed for package 1 and package 2, the two most popular packages.
Package 3 and package 4 are almost never purchased and will be removed.
Consumable/fun one-time packages may be introduced as a way to contribute when you already have everything else (i.e. Discord perks, in-server unique perks)
These changes are set to be made in early December before VIP sales for XMAS.
Please use this thread to discuss VIP and contributing to Invex in general.
We would like to know what your opinions are, there are people that believe Invex is too donation/money focused and we don't want that to be the general consensus but at the same time we would still like to hit the donation goal every month if possible.
SourceBans++ has been updated to the latest release.
This should fix the PHP7 warnings that some of you have been seeing.
We are also trying out a new in-game !report feature which people can use to report other players for breaking rules.
However, this is only a trial and may be removed in the future.
Knife fight is unfair for T's cause cts have armoury so they can take extra hits
Knife fight by default should have no armour for both cts and ts so it can be fair
If its possible to do this it would be very epic because knife fight is unfair
very sad
I understand it's pretty late and everyone just wants to have fun, but he just prevented us from doing so. Deliberately freekilled I and Fluffy, arguing that we didn't comply with his orders. I warned him not to do so, but yet he persisted. He's a fairly experienced player with roughly 5k playtime so he must have gained a basic understanding of the rules.
Hey! I'm Diamond and I'm applying for the role of
Invex Gaming Jailbreak administrator :D
Introduction
I used to frequently play on Invex's Jailbreak server back in 2017 and had an absolutely amazing time. I made some pretty memorable and fun experiences and that's why I was all the merrier when the server came back! I decided to go for admin back then, but the server shut down, so here I am, going for it again :D. Special thanks to stu for recommending me, it means a great deal <33.
I personally want to be admin, not only to moderate the server and deal with nasty rulebreakers but to also make Jailbreak more enjoyable for its players. Because at the end of the day, people are playing this gamemode to have fun and I believe administrators have the power to spice it up and make it more interesting.
With that aside, if promoted to admin, I will definitely focus on upholding Invex's rules, penalizing rule breakers and assisting new players with learning the inner workings of Jailbreak. My recent completion of the HSC (final exams) permits me to be on Invex on a daily basis. Tie this in with my ridiculous sleeping schedule and I'm pretty much always on when an admin is absent.
Be an Invex member or higher before you can apply to become an administrator. Green name = true. Have 25 posts on the forums before applying. I currently have 166posts. Have a forum account for over 2 weeks to be able to apply. My forum account is 2 years old, or around 106 weeks old. Be older than 15 years old. (or be mature enough to make an exception) I'm 17 years old and definitely consider myself mature enough. Have at least 40 hours on the server. I have 890...908922hours on Jailbreak. Be active on the server AND forums (especially the server(s) you are applying for). I've been trying to average 3-5 hours on Jailbreak since it came back. I'm also active on forums with 1 month spent online. You must not have a HIGH or VERY HIGH severity ban in the last month. Never been banned; server or otherwise.
1. I'm active on both Jailbreak and forums, and now that I've got some extra time, I can be on during irregular hours and when an admin isn't present.
2. I have over 55,000 minutes on Jailbreak (56,000 in total) which illustrates I have an extensive understanding of how Invex's Jailbreak works.
3. I'm an all-around friendly guy and try to tame any conflict that does occur.
4. In all my time playing Invex, I have never received a serious ban or kick, nor have I have been muted as a result of toxicity, disrespect or breaking JB rules.
5. I constantly try to enforce rules, assisting anyone who needs help with understanding and following them.
6. I have gone over the feedback given to me in my first admin application and have changed accordingly (more mature, using mic to enforce rules, etc).
1. I have donated $68 to Invex and will likely continue donating more!
2. I have created over 21 abuse reports, all of which have been marked as abuse, displaying that I have a clear knowledge and understanding of Jailbreak rules.
1.I've been muted twice for accidentally leaving voice loopback on when I joined the server. Whoops.
2.I barely use Invex's discord server. But I have re-joined it recently and plan it to use it a bunch!
3. I've been given a warning in the past for feeding points in Combat Surf.
Conclusion That's pretty much me. This app doesn't really differ much from my first one (thanks thesaurus.com), but I have definitely taken the feedback given to me in my first app into consideration. If you do consider to take time out of your day to leave me a rating, I only ask that it comes with some constructive criticism, for it will help me improve as both a candidate for admin and a person.
