Although I don't consider myself to be an amazing player in Counter Strike, I do believe I have some tips to help newer people get better. I have over 300 MM wins and more than 1000+ hours in CS:GO, this is mainly in MM. The highest rank I have reached is LE (Legendary Eagle). Below you will find a tutorial with some tips that I believe will make you an overall better player.
Have a good crosshair you are comfortable with:
Having a good crosshair you are comfortable with, is definitely one of the most important things you need to have. Everyone has their own style, but I personally prefer a light blue small crosshair with a gap in the middle. In the end, it comes down to your decision and your preference. The best way to get a crosshair you will be comfortable is to use "crashz' Crosshair Generator v2". Watch this tutorial (CLICK HERE) if you are unsure how to use this map. Once you've got a crosshair you think you like, walk out the door to the right and test it on the bots. If you are comfortable with it and like it, you can then exit the map (your crosshair will save itself) and move on to the next tip.
Practice makes perfect:
I know, I know.. You've probably heard this many times. But it's true. The more you play, the better you will become. I advise to warmup before every game (see below). Get to know your spray patterns and learn some good strats. I strongly advise to never solo queue as we all know how toxic the CS:GO community can be. Some good maps to use to practice your aim and spray patterns are "Aim Botz", "training_aim_csgo2" and "Recoil Master".

Warmup before any competitive match:
Before any competitive match, I strongly advise to warmup. In my opinion the best way to warmup is to go on a headshot only server. If this is a pistol HS only server, use a USP-S (I advise to go on a pistol HS only rather than rifles). If it is a rifle HS only server, use an AK-47. Try to reach around 70+ kills, once you have this many kills, jump into a deathmatch server (this can be a normal CS:GO server or a community server. I prefer community servers as its FFA). Stay on the server for about 15 minutes (or until the game is over). Once you have done your warmup, jump into a competitive lobby and queue up with some friends.
Know the map you're playing and know the smokes for that map:
When playing a map, make sure you know call-outs and strats. This will significantly help your team. You can master these by just playing the map itself, it will take time, but its worth it in my opinion. The next thing to do is to learn smokes. There are many tutorials on youtube, but I will list some for the main maps below. Once you know call-outs, strats and smokes, you're ready to go.

Extras:
Having a mic can really help the team out a lot. You can easily call out where enemies are, you can say how much an enemy is tagged (check console, after you die) and it's just overall very helpful. Never ignore your team, stick with them and work together. In the end, it come down to the time you are willing to put in the game. If you're lazy and have no dedication, there is no way you will improve.

Heyo, I'm Nex.
I was introduced to this server by Riggsy. I'm around every now and then. I mainly play Surf and 1v1, but I sometimes join Jailbreak. Feel free to come hang out with me in game or on teamspeak!
Hope to see some of you on the server or on TS!
Come join us for a fun game of CS:GO which will run for 1-2 maps (roughly 60 minutes - 3 hours).
This event is just for fun but is also very competitive and players will be playing to win!
After the main event concludes, some players may stick around to play an extra map or so (but those games will not be monitored/recorded/etc).
Make sure to join the Teamspeak server on the night so we can organise channels and give everybody proper instructions.
Server will have a STEAM ID whitelist so people not on the pre-approved list will not be able to join
