I just thought it might be an okay idea if Byte or Hello World were to add a section dedicated to other things a part from gaming. I know because i'm such a nerd I would wanna post a thread name the Standard Model: Everything from Positrons to the Higgs Boson or Going Faster Than Light: Everything we Know. I also think that this "other section" may open up a range of discussion about very different activities to Gaming such as Rugby, Science, Movies, e.c.t. Thanks all, and I hope we can get this implemented!
Hey guys, I have decided to make a complete in-depth guide on how to be a guard. I have been seeing many people struggling on ct and they bait, freekill etc.
Tips
- Read the rules, you will have great difficulty to guard if you dont
- LISTEN to the wardens orders
- Don't stand in the knifing distance of prisoners, this is considered baiting.
How To Join CT
To join the CT team you cant just click it. You have to type '!guard' in the chat and you will be placed into a queue where you have to wait until you eventually join.
Wardens Orders
The whole point of being a guard is to listen to the Warden. If the Warden says to go somewhere you have to do it. The warden will say orders for the prisoners and you kill the prisoners if they dont do it. You have to wait 2 seconds for prisoners to follow (5 seconds for cell orders). The warden at the start of the round may say, CT's can be nazi. If he/she says that then you may be strict on prisoners.
Games
The warden may chose to play games. There are 2 categories of games, map games and fun days. Map games are the types of games that are built into the map e.g. deathrun, climb, jumprope. Fun days are games that the warden plays with the prisoners e.g. simon says, whats for dinner, name that good good xD. In these 'fun day' games the Warden will most likely say only i can kill, if the warden doesnt say anything then by default you are not allowed to kill.[/color]
LR
At the end of the round when you have killed all prisoners except 2, then they can do something called a last request (lr). In their lr they can do whatever they want, if the want they can grab a gun and kill you, if the t has a gun and starts shooting then kill him/her. In this lr the prisoner will give you rules and you must follow them, the lr will result in one of you dying. There are many options for the prisoners to chose but here are the most common ones.[/color] Gun Toss
In a gun toss the prisoner will say rules. For example, 'no jetpack no bhop, throw in mid air. Closest to *wherever* will win'. Then you may ask for a demo, i recommend doing this incase the prisoner is going to trick you. If you throw the gun the furthest you can knife the prisoner, if they throw it further they can knife you. Since its the prisoners lr they may knife you even if you won, this is considered as rebelicious. Shot for Shot
Shot for shot is where the you and a prisoner go head to head in a battle with a pistol which the t chooses. The prisoner will say the rules, e.g. 'Stand in these goals, a and d only. No jumping no crouching. Start at *time*'. You will take a turn each at shooting each other and trying to kill them.
Now you should know who to be a guard. Please dont hate, appreciate .

!w - Claim warden as a CT
!uw - Unclaim/retire from warden
!wt - Bring up Warden Tools menu with useful tools for the warden
!guard - Go into guard queue to switch to the CT team
!unguard - Leave the guard queue if you have entered it
!rule - Print a jailbreak rule into chat (example !rule G1, !rule CT32, !rule T2)
Freeday: CT's cannot order T's to do anything except ordering T's to not come within knifing distance and dropping weapons. The T's can do whatever they want in this day
Button Freeze: Standing in one spot without pressing any movement buttons on your keyboard. This means no moving (WASD), jumping or crouching. Knifing, weapon switching and free looking is allowed unless specified otherwise by the warden. When knifing is a button the whole server crys D:
Rebelling: The act of disobeying orders from the guards or warden or damaging/killing a guard or warden. If you get a gun you are a rebeller. Rebelling is a way for the fellow prisoners to win the game
Hot Cell: A cell which contains a primary/secondary weapon, vent, teleporter or other escape mechanism. If you are in the cell you should rebel beacause it is easy!!!
Rush: To take the quickest route possible without detouring or delaying to a location. E.g. rush to a beam and button freeze.
Baiting: Considered to be any CT, intentionally or unintentionally going within knifing distance of Ts. The Ts can then knife the guard.
Detouring: Not taking the quickest and safest route to the predefined location. If you detour when said not to expect to be shot
Freekilling/Free wounding: Deliberate or accidental killing or wounding of a prisoner (via any means) that is not disobeying orders. You will be slain for this. And usually warned.
!LR / Last Request: A minigame SURVIVING PRISONERS can play against GUARDS's when there are two of them left by typing !lr. e.g. @"Ok" has chosen to gun toss jynxx (pls no)
K.O.S/ Kill on sight: If you are branded K.O.S and are seen by GUARD's you will be killed as soon as possible.
Camping: DELIBERATE or INTENTIONAL stationary placement in the vicinity of a questionable area, e.g. Gun Room, Medic, Vents and Teleporters. ect. If you are K.O.S try and kill as many cts as you can before you get killed.
Nazi (AKA Ownaj): When the Warden gives you permission to be super strict and pull up T's for anything the warden says they can't do.
Favouritism: This means that GUARDS must treat all PRISONERS equally during the activities of every round, including equal punishment for not following orders, and ensuring that no prisoner is rewarded without completing an active objective that other PRISONERS have. An example of fair treatment is if you were doing climb and warden says winner receives a prize that is not favouritism because it is a reward for finishing first place. Favouritism will result in a punishment
How to highlight prisoners
In the Warden tool menu there is a section called Draw tools. Go into that. Then you can go into Set Colour to make the prisoners a certain colour. Then press "Highlight Prisoners" in there face the PRISONERS you want to highlight. Then you are done! Rebelling Guide
The guide to rebelling is you NEED bhop (bunnyhop). Well you don't really need it but it makes it easier to rebel. That is the same as jetpack but bhop makes you get away fast so the CT's cant shoot you. But remember this doesn't work all the time. LR
The LR period is where the last two terrorists get a chance to escape prison and kill the guards. The most common LR's are Gun toss, Shot4Shot, Race, Knife fight and dodgeball. The warden gives the prisoners a certain time to LR by and if you do not LR before that time you are KOS. The LR period is also a time for the prisoners to enjoy jailbreak and in general have fun versing the guards in minigames. Last Request is also a fun way to improve your skill. E.G. In knife fight you have to learn when to go in for the kill and learn how to avoid getting hit. In Gun toss you have to learn to strafe. Shot4Shot know when to shoot the enemy. And dodgeball know when to throw the decoy grenade at the enemy

Sup I'm Damo lots of people know me as Mixu. Just want to say hi to everyone on forums, I'm really active on SurfCombat and i enjoy playing csgo and other game that are fps.
Once you choose your render, save the image file, and open it up in a separate window within Photoshop.
(Just click File -> Open -> (Your Render)) This will open up a separate tab.
Using the rectangle marquee tool, highlight the whole render. Then simply CTRL+C, switch to your signature tab, and CTRL+V.
If the image is very large, select Show Transform Controls, and click one of the corners. You can then adjust these height and width values.
I prefer to centre the image, and have the player's name off to the side, but its all personal preference. Now, find a background image. Something that somewhat matches either; the colours of the foreground render, or something that matches the character itself. Adding a new layer below the render, with a black background and a simple circular gradient directly behind the render will emphasise the character. This is what mine looks like so far:
After adding my background on a new layer, adding a Gaussian blur to the background image (Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian (10p radius)) This is what it looks like.
Part 2: Smudging
I then duplicate the character render layer 4 times. (Make sure layer is highlighted, then press CTRL+J). By clicking the
small eye next to each layer, hide all but the first.
Now, time to smudge in the render into the background. Click on the smudge tool
Within the brush presets, find the Chalk 36 preset. Now click the preset edit button
These are the settings you want to have for the smudging.
Now, click on your first visible layer, and start smudging it. Smudge the hell out of it. Try not smudge it too far outside the borders of the render. Then, set the blending mode for the layer to Colour Dodge.
Blending mode can be above the layer window, next to the opacity selector.
Unhide the next layer, and do the exact same, but this time set the blending mode to Linear Dodge.
Continue doing this, alternating between colour dodge and linear dodge with every layer, until there is only one layer left.
This is what it should look like:
Now, slightly smudge the edges of the top layer, so it blends with the lower layers. I added very little, as it didn't work as well with this render. It's all preference as well.
I added another layer behind the smudges, and added another white circular gradient, so the smudge isn't so harsh. Using the eraser tool on the outsides of the smudging layers
is a very good way to soften the edges. To do this, set the eraser tool to whatever size you prefer, and set the hardness to 0. Because the smudging was so
light, I set the two top smudge layer's blending mode to darken.

Part 3: Finalising (Font, final adjustments, etc.)
Sadly, I am absolutely terrible at font choice, and stuff. I use http://www.dafont.com to find my fonts, and then style my fonts using either non-contrasting colours.
This is what I did for this one.
Personally, this wasn't the best of creations. Got extremely lazy with the font. It's 2am so deal with it :^)
This is my first tutorial, so please hmu with feedback. Hope this helped people see some techniques I use when creating signatures. I'm still quite new to photoshop, but I'm passing on knowledge as I gain it.
