[NEED HELP] High Ping on Invex

So.... Any traceroute results? Refrain to listening to people saying its your ISP, it most likely isn't as farhan is facing the same problem

Post the trace routes in comments. Here's a guideline to analyse the results yourself:
Hop 1: this is you
Hop 2-4: this is your ISP
Hop 5+6: welcome to the internet
Hop 7: this is the ISP of the server's connection
Hop 8: this is the server

Basically, wherever the delay is, that is where the problem lies. Contact your ISP if the problem persists, I had this issue except it was loss. I took me 3 weeks to get it escalated with my ISP. Do it fast to make sure you don't waste time. Expect shitty support on the first calls, follow all the stupidly simple directions they give you. This may be a case of leading the blind seeming as though you haven't already commenced trace routes. I can help through this, I'll be on discord tonight. Goodluck

The hops depend on local and external devices and can vary between different trace routes.
You can't use that 'guide' to analyse the results, if you have a WIFI repeater for example your traffic will go through 1 extra hop before reaching your router.

As for trace routes, I would suggest you don't post them here as they reveal information about your IP/ISP.
Feel free to PM me them instead if you want.


I haven't looked into it yet though and I won't be able to until tomorrow.

Our web servers were updating last night/this morning to fix the Intel CPU thing.
That shouldn't be affecting the game servers in any way though.

Of course Byte it is just a general guide. Obviously a thorough analysis is called for, in every trace route result, I was simply trying to help him understand without bringing in too much information at once, seeming as though networking & security can be quite confusing. Anyways, the problem is all sorted and Beax is back on lower pings thank god
