A good solution would be to implement a simple command such as !allowguard & !disableguard which basically puts a argument/paramater on the player which the auto balancer ignores that said player if they have the argument from !disableguard. Then if they decide they want to guard they can simply type !allowguard and it will remove the argument/param. Not sure if you can make the auto balancer ignore certain paramaters, but you should be able to (im not too code savy)
